I first learnt how to knit from my Mum as a child. As I grew up, I developed a broad love of fiber arts and taught myself crochet, sewing, embroidery, tatting, weaving, spinning and dyeing.
Knitting is still the craft that I enjoy the most and I have been designing my own patterns for many years, mostly for just personal use. I find that knitting not only provides a creative outlet for me but the act of knitting itself is a meditative practice.
I am a 30-something Mum of one. I enjoy being outside walking beneath trees or by the sea. I mostly knit for other people, but drawing on my interest in sustainable living, I hope that I will start to fill out my own wardrobe with special pieces that last and are all handmade with love!
